GETTING STARTED This unique learning course will give you the basic skills it will take to teach yourself to start mixing as a DJ or to improve on the skills you already have. This course was designed for the individual who would like to learn the basics skills and techniques of mixing with the benefit of a “Do It Yourself” hands-on training program designed to teach DJ mixing fast and easy by yourself or in a group surrounding. The Basic Mixing course includes written lessons as well as audio lessons. We’ve created the written lessons with simple text and special graphics to give you a visual understanding of the material being taught. Just as we have created special graphics for the written lessons, we have created special music tracks for the audio lessons that we believe will teach you at a much quicker pace. We suggest that you use these tracks while you are practicing on your mixing skills until you are ready to move on to more complex tracks. Remember, practicing as much as possible is the key to success. The lessons are represented by these icons: • for Written Lessons • for Audio Lessons To use this instructional program you will need to create/burn 2 CD's. Just follow the instructions on creating the course cd's below. How To Create The Course CD's* To create the 2 audio cd's for your lessons you may need any cd burning software that will convert mp3 files to audio cd tracks. Most operating systems will allow you to convert mp3 files to audio files and then create a CD directly from your hard drive so you most likely will not need any music software to create these cd’s. If you have any questions please check the help section of your operating systems manufacturer for more info on creating audio cd’s. When creating the 2 cd's you will need to create them in the following order. We have numbered and named the tracks for you already. Please make sure you put them in the right order.*Note. Most of these audio tracks are not meant to be played alone, there designed to be played with a second track for the purpose of learning. They are audio tools of this program.
